Shieldex® Med-tex P130

A silver-metallized fabric consists of 22% elastomer, which makes it stretchable in two directions. The textile was specially developed for medical applications and for skin diseases, particularly neurodermatitis. The conductive textile is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and can therefore be worn on the skin. Silver is a biocidal active substance according to Section 67 of the EU Biocide Regulation.

Properties & Applications

Shieldex® Med-tex P130 is a hybrid knitted fabric metallized with pure silver. The antimicrobial textile consists of 78% polyamide and 22% elastane, with the elastane woven in the warp and weft directions. This processing allows the material to be stretched on both sides. Due to the lower silver content of around 20%, Shieldex® Med-tex P130 is mainly used in medical products.

 

In particular, it is used as an antimicrobial additive in the clothing industry to alleviate skin diseases such as neurodermatitis and the associated symptoms. The antimicrobial fabric is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. RoHS and REACH conformity is given.

Closure Mechanism

By default, our pouches come equipped with a hook-and-loop (Velcro) closure. On request, we also offer additional closure types – including eyelets for security seals as well as a snap-lock closure. Please note that alternative closure types – as with our custom sizes – are subject to a minimum order quantity (MOQ). We would be happy to advise you individually on the options best suited to your needs.
