Ideal for products in the field of antimicrobial and electromagnetic radiation shielding clothing (silver is a biocidal agent according to §67 of the EU Biocide Regulation) as well as antistatic applications.

Properties & Applications

The Shieldex® 44/10 has a titre of 44 dtex and a round cross-section. The yarn, which is twisted in the Z direction, is primarily used in the textile industry in products with antistatic, antimicrobial and electromagnetic radiation shielding functions. Ideal for clothing in the area of electrosensitivity.

Other examples of processing include antimicrobial and odor-inhibiting clothing, as well as electromagnetic shielding clothing, and antistatic carpets and curtains. The target market for this product is the large-scale textile industry. OEKO-Tex® certification and RoHS and REACH conformity are given.
