Electrically and thermally conductive fabric - Shieldex® Bremen RS is a ripstop fabric metallized with pure silver and is ideal for shielding electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range from 0.2 to 14 GHz. Thanks to the silver and the OEKO-TEX® conformity, this antimicrobial fabric can also be used for hygiene applications. Silver is a biocidal agent according to Section 67 of the EU Biocide Regulation.

Properties & Applications

Shieldex® Bremen RS is a pure silver-plated polyamide fabric with a silver content of approx. 20%. Due to the robust ripstop structure of approx. 2,500 threads per cm² (warp and weft direction), Shieldex® Bremen RS is primarily used fortechnical applicationsused where mechanical stress is the main focus.

The electrical conductivity is up to < 0.3 Ω/□, making Shieldex® Bremen RS electrically and thermally conductive fabric is perfect for sensor applications. The conductive fabric therefore also serves as the base material for the partial metallization Shieldex® Bremen RS achieves a shielding performance of approx. 60 dB in the frequency range 0.2 to 14 GHz and is therefore also used in EMC materials such as EMC shielding tents, EMC shielding bags and EMC shielding curtains.

Through the antibacterial properties of the silver, Shieldex® Bremen RS also has an antimicrobial effect and is therefore also integrated into materials with antibacterial properties. Shieldex® Bremen RS is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. RoHS and REACH conformity is given.

Closure Mechanism

By default, our pouches come equipped with a hook-and-loop (Velcro) closure. On request, we also offer additional closure types – including eyelets for security seals as well as a snap-lock closure. Please note that alternative closure types – as with our custom sizes – are subject to a minimum order quantity (MOQ). We would be happy to advise you individually on the options best suited to your needs.
