Shieldex® Bilbao is a chemically bonded, antimicrobial nonwoven fabric with a silver content of approx. 16%. Due to the antimicrobial effect of the silver, this nonwoven fabric is primarily used in the clothing industry as a lining material. This nonwoven fabric is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and can therefore also be worn on the skin.

Properties & Applications

Shieldex® Bilbao is a chemically bonded nonwoven fabric that has been metallized with 99.9% pure silver. The silver content in the silver-plated andantimicrobial nonwoven fabricis up to 16% and is therefore primarily used for substances with antimicrobial effects.

These include in particularfunctional clothing. Due to the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 conformity, this nonwoven fabric can also be worn on the skin. The silver content also has a thermal and electrically conductive effect. RoHS and REACH conformity is also given.
