Metallized with pure silver, Shieldex® Balingen is an electrically and thermally conductive fabric. With an electrical conductivity of < 0.6 Ω/□ and a silver content of approx. 20%, this conductive fabric is ideal for smart textiles and sensory applications, but also for antimicrobial products in the hygiene sector.

Silver is a biocidal active substance according to Section 67 of the EU Biocide Regulation.

Properties & Applications

Shieldex® Balingen is a silver-metallized, multifilament knitted fabric that is primarily used in the smart textiles sector and for EMC shielding products in the low-frequency range from 0.2 to 2 GHz.

With an electrical resistance of < 0.6 Ω/□, Shieldex® Balingen is highly electrically and thermally conductive and is therefore often used for sensory applications in the field of smart textiles and wearables.

Due to the silver embedded in the material, Shieldex® Balingen also has an antimicrobial effect and can be used in the field of veterinary medicine. RoHS and REACH conformity is given.
