Properties & Applications

Shieldex® Zeven + 30 is a thermally bonded nonwoven fabric. The conductive textile is metallized with copper and tin, the base material is polyamide 6.6. The special properties of the nonwoven fabric are its thermal and electrical conductivity. In addition, Shieldex® Zeven + 30 has a shielding effect against electromagnetic radiation. The special thing about this conductive textile is the additional tin layer that is applied. The tin layer allows the textile to be soldered and thus makes it easy to contact other components.

Shieldex® Zeven + 30 is mainly used in industry in products that must provide EMC protection or antistatic discharge. Examples of applications include wallpaper as room shielding or antistatic discharge in electronic components (fax, copier, etc.). Because it can be soldered, it is also often used as an EMC seal.
