Shieldex® Basel is a nonwoven fabric metallized with pure silver and containing 25% silver. With an electrical resistance of < 1 Ω/□, this electrically conductive nonwoven fabric is primarily used for technical applications, such as sensory electrode components in medical technology.

Due to its textile properties and constant shielding performance of up to 65 dB in the frequency range from 0.2 to 14 GHz, Shieldex® Basel is also used in the clothing industry.

Properties & Applications

Shieldex® Basel is a thermally bonded, silver-plated nonwoven fabric made of polyamide. With a silver content of approx. 25%, Shieldex® Basel is an electrically and thermally conductive nonwoven fabric, and also has an antimicrobial effect and shields against electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range of 0.2 to 14 GHz.

With an average shielding performance of 65 dB, Shieldex® Basel is primarily used in EMC applications.

This includes clothing designed to protect the body from EMC radiation, but also industrial applications in the area of ​​antistatic discharges in electronic components. RoHS and REACH conformity is given.
