Properties & Applications

The Shieldex® 235/36 x2 HCB TPU is a high-strength, 2-ply twisted Shieldex yarn with a titer of 235dtex and a round cross-section as well as an extremely low electrical resistance of <80 Ω/m. The conductive yarn is additionally coated with a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and is used in the textile industry as an alternative to conventional cables. The additional coating makes the yarns the perfect alternative to conventional cables. It is therefore possible to lay cables next to cables without causing a short circuit.

In addition, the yarn is protected from external influences and also has enormous weight advantages. Examples of processing include supply lines for sensors, actuators and heating textiles. OEKO-Tex® certification and RoHS and REACH conformity are given.
