Shieldex® zippers are completely silver-plated and therefore electrically conductive and also provide additional shielding against EMC radiation. The zippers are used in the field of EMC shielding as closure options in EMC tents or smart textiles. When the zippers are used in intelligent textiles, new application possibilities can arise due to their electrical conductivity. For example, it is possible to use the silver-plated zippers to control sensors integrated into the zippers by opening and closing them.
